The Fellowship Ski Club of Australia is a non-denominational Christian club which owns and runs a lodge, "Moerlina" at Smiggin Holes.
Here are the original 1972 aims and objectives of the club (worth remembering):
- To bring together members of the Christian Church and their friends, who wish to enjoy the outdoor activities of the Snowy Mountains area.
- To develop Christian leadership and character in those who love the Lord Jesus Christ.
To give added impetus to the Church's adult and youth programmes by providing suitable accommodation.
- To communicate fellowship wherever we go, by friendship, humility and love for others and to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ a message of hope and good news for all.
- To encourage, develop and promote snow sports (including skiing and ski touring) and other athletic sports and athletic games.
The function of Moerlina and the snow experience reflects this vision and emphasises the value of community.
